Activate Trayed Application

Here is my situation. I have an application that runs only in the system tray, I need to gain access to its pop-up menu. As a user I can click on the icon in the system tray and the menu pops-up. How can I activate the pop-up menu with AutoIt or through the windows API? I cannot use the AutoIt MouseClick Event as this process will run on different machines having different GUI dimensions.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately I am embedding the functionality within another applicastion using the COM object. So, I don't see how I can implement the UDF. However, if I can please help.
