For example, the help file says: When running on 64-bit Windows if you want to write a key or value specific to the 64-bit environment you have to suffix the HK... with 64 i.e. HKLM64. Which doesn't necessarily tell me anything regarding what I am seeing. Here is an example: RegWrite ( "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SoftGrid\4.5\Client\AppFS\ServiceInclusions" , "Service1" , "REG_SZ" , "NAV" ) Will write to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\SoftGrid\4.5\Client\AppFS\ServiceInclusions (GOOD!) BrewManNH Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 No, what the help file told you that you need to do is instead of using HKLM you'd used HKLM64. Or, in other words, instead of you using HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, you would use HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE64 (or maybe _64, I'm not sure as I don't have an x64 machine to check). HKLM is the shorthand way or writing HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Tripredacus Posted June 30, 2011 Author Posted June 30, 2011 (edited) The code is in a compiled 32bit EXE. EDIT: I am fine with using the first option I marked as GOOD!. This puts the key where I need it. However I wanted to point it out in case it is a bug, or if further info needs to be put in the help file regarding the RegWrite behaviour in x64.
