get column from arraysearch

I apologize to post such a basic question, but I am still getting a handle on arrays so please bear with me. I have a script that generates an array of the files within a directory. I am then doing an arraysearch on a string and need to copy the result to the clipboard (i.e the file name as text). The problem is, I am getting the index number and not column0 which contains the file name that I need. How can I get the file name? I've been playing around with this so the code below is just in test. The string will always be the same but the remaining part of the file name will change. It works great I just can't grab the column...

It is interesting, if either the directory does not exist or if there are no file names containing the search string, it returns the error 'subscript used with non-array variable'. At the time the script is launched, I am checking to make sure the files already exist higher up in the script so it should not be an issue.

Do some error checking when you list the files:

$List = _FileListToArray($path)
If @error Then
    MsgBox(16, "Error", "Error listing files from: " & $path & @CRLF & _
            "@error = " & @error)
    Exit
EndIf

_ArraySearch will only search in the column specified by the 8th parameter, it defaults to the first (0) column. If you executed your search on your array and it's found, it's going to be in the first "column" of the array. Unless you tell the function otherwise, it's always going to search only the first "column".
