Log into phpbb- and vBulletin-based forums

Hello,

For some time I'm trying to mimic my web browser to get html code of some forums that is available only after login into.

1. I couldn't log into vBulleting-based forums at all.

2. I succeeded with phpbb but I had to hardcode my session id (cookie) into my script.

Has anyone of you did it before and could share with his/her working code so I could build my script upon it?

Could you tell me why I can't log into vBulletin-based forums even if I've copied all cookies from my web browser?
