Create a directory using a variable name

Hi, I'm new to Autoit and already have a challenge... I need to prompt for a serial number and create a folder example: c:\customer\ and within this folder create a sub-folder using the serial number variable. What am I doing wrong? it creates the $s_serial as the folder not the serial number I entered.

DirCreate("C:\customer\"&$s_serial)
