shaunexe Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Hi I have been working on creating a script that creates a schedule task regardless of the user logged in with a 10 minute delay based on the time the user logged in. I have searched the forums adn found several examples but I can not seem to get any of them working. Here is what I have so far and would appreciate any pointers: $time = @HOUR & ":" & @MIN + 10 & ":" & @SEC RunAsSet ("<username>","<domain>","<password>") Run ('schtasks /create /ru SYSTEM /sc ONCE /st " & $time & " /tn DeleteProfiles /tr c:\delprofs\deleteprofiles.bat',@SystemDir,@SW_DISABLE) I have tested the $time variable by using a message box and that is ok, the RunAsSet I know works as I use this in several other scripts with the same username/password. Thanks
BrewManNH Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 You must be using an older version of AutoIt3 because RunAsSet isn't a valid command any longer. It was removed back in 2008 in version 3.2.12.0. You would use RunAs or RunAsWait in its place now. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. shaunexe Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 I am using an older version as we could not get RunAs working as well as the older version of RunAsSet.
BrewManNH Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 You start the Run string with single quotes, then close it with double quotes, then restart with double quotes and end with single quotes again. shaunexe Posted September 28, 2011 Author Posted September 28, 2011 Tried: Run ('schtasks /create /ru SYSTEM /sc ONCE /st ' & $time & ' /tn DeleteProfiles /tr c:\delprofs\deleteprofiles.bat',@SystemDir,@SW_DISABLE) not getting any errors but no schedule task being created.
