Remove Password Mask Realtime

Hi Gurus,

We could always set an inputbox to display a mask character but what if realtime, i'd like the user have the option of showing the actual string rather than the mask character. How is this possible?

We'll it was dated back 2009, has this been resolved or addressed recently?
