codewalker Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) Hi, This buffles me. I have an Excel VBA script that bulk creates INI files. But my AutoIt script cannot read the values. It says that the file exists and can even write values using IniWrite but it cannot get the values. However, if i manually create the INI file in notepad (Notepad2), my AutoIt script reads it just fine. What gives? Thanks! Edited January 25, 2012 by codewalker

BrewManNH Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Can you post an example of what's in the .ini file when the VBA script creates it? There might be an issue with how it's written. Also, is the ini file's content in unicode by any chance? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
