listview icon

I have two problem with listview

1) I replaced an icon on the 3rd column. When the row is selected the icon becomes masked and quite invisible.

I've attached two files named okay_1 and okay_2. I want to get a result similar to these.

2) added the icon is not transparent, background color is white. How do I make transparent?

I don't think anyone's gonna answer this cause that is just the default behavior for windows if I am correct.
