yellowpower Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 Hihi Guys, I am an absolute beginner and trying to install Tesseract (Screen OCR) UDF.ITseems like we need to install it in @ProgramFilesDir & "\tesseract\tesseract.exe"could anyone tell what exactly it that? I dont understand it?! Quote You should change "C:\Program Files\tesseract\tesseract.exe" to @ProgramFilesDir & "\tesseract\tesseract.exe"otherwise it won't work on localised versions of Windows
Moderators Melba23 Posted July 5, 2012 Moderators Posted July 5, 2012 yellowpower,The @ProgramFilesDir macro just returns the standard "Program Files" folder for your machine - x86/x64 machines do not use the same folder. Using the macro rather than a hard-coded folder just ensures that the UDF looks in the right folder. So you just install Tesseract as normal and the macro will make sure the UDF looks in the correct place.
