Tin2tin
I'm pretty close to succeed in doing what I'm after(out of a lot of snippets from this forum), however I'm running to a standstill because I can't get the "Convert" button to work(a click on the button to start the the conversion). What I'm I doing wrong? [EDIT: removed embarrassing code ] Edited September 15, 2012 by Tin2tin DVD slideshow GUI
BrewManNH
You're using: GUICtrlSetOnEvent(-1, "_Convert") to read the button push. Yet, you're using MessageLoop mode to read everything else. Also, you never included the option to use OnEvent mode, Opt("GUIOnEventMode", 1). You have to decide which method you want to use to read the controls in the script, you can't use both OnEvent and messageloop modes, they don't work together at all, pick one. One other thing, why are you using the UDF version of the button creation, as well as the other controls? Are the native ones not working the way you need? I only ask because I've almost never seen anyone use the GUIButton UDF. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Tin2tin
Thanks to your inputs I found this post and that solved my problem: When wanting to create a button I looked in the manual and _GUICtrlListBox_Create functon came up. Copy pasting code from this forum, I had no idea that there are two ways to register gui events.Thank you. DVD slideshow GUI
