zlib dll original filename

Im trying to decompress a gzipped file using

This works fine, however it requires that I input the new file name whilst i would prefer to use the original filename stored inside the .gz file

If i open the file in a text editor I can see the filename however if i tried to use "fileread" to read the characters it comes back with something else.

Did you FileOpen() with the binary flag? GZ files use to have binary 0x00 in them.
