Icon control background color

Hi,

Is there any function that can set the background color of an icon control?

GUICtrlSetBkColor() don't work for this kind of control.

"Only Button, Label, Checkbox, Group, Radio, Edit, Input, List, Listview, ListviewItem, Treeview, TreeviewItem, Graphic, Progress, Slider and Combo controls can currently be colored."

You probably have to create your own icon files with the proper back ground color, I don't think it's possible to recolor the background on an icon control, unless there's something in the WinAPI functions or GDI+ functions, but I don't know of any myself.

Even changing the theme of the control (DllCall("UxTheme.dll", "int", "SetWindowTheme", "hwnd", -1, "wstr", 0, "wstr", 0)) doesn't affect icon controls.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.

Thank you for the reply.

I was trying to use icons controls with _GUICtrl_OnHoverRegister to change their background color.

if there's no alternative then I will follow your advice("create your own icon files with the proper back ground color")
