CountyIT Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 The two things I need are the "Active" WIndow handle and title. The only way I have found so far is: $ActiveHandle = WinGetHandle("[ACTIVE]") $ActiveTitle = WinGetTitle($ActiveHandle) I will probably need more information about the "Active" Window as the script progresses. Is there one function I can call as opposed to two or more to get this information?
BrewManNH Posted December 12, 2012 Posted December 12, 2012 Why aren't you using WinGetTitle("[ACTIVE]")? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. CountyIT Posted December 14, 2012 Author Posted December 14, 2012 I am using WinGetTitle and WinGetHandle. I need both the title and handle. Other things I wind up using are the title height, client area, border width and a few others. I am just looking for a way to consolidate code in to one call that would give me all the info I need with respect to the active window rather then having to do several calls.
BrewManNH Posted December 14, 2012 Posted December 14, 2012 If you need both, then I'm pretty sure you're going to need both calls. There's no function that gets both the handle and the title that I'm aware of. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
