Reinhardt1julian
Is it possible to add text to an editbox without removing the text that is already in it? In the Helpfile theres nothing like that.
BrewManNH
Yes, and I've already told you how to do that in your other thread, why the hell don't you go read the damned thing and stop being an a--hole here? Reinhardt1julian
Wow, please no raging! I just want to get some help here! Isn't that what a Help Forum is all about?
Moderators Melba23 Posted February 14, 2013 Moderators Share Posted February 14, 2013 Reinhardt1julian,You are now beginning to annoy other forum members. Part of my job here is to maintain the smooth running of the forum and you are the main perturbation at the moment. We all understand that the learning curve when you start coding is very steep - and we are very happy to help you climb it. But we need to see a bit more effort from you - at the moment you are just posting every question that pops into your head. How many times today have you posted "NVM found it" just a few minutes later? Too many to my mind. So here is my proposal:- If you keep spraying questions around like confetti at a wedding without making any serious attempt to find the answer for yourself in the Help file or on the forum, I will prevent you from posting anything at all.- If you start by doing some research first and posting code which shows that you have at least looked at the Help file we will all be delighted to point you to a solution. Are you prepared to accept that offer? Please choose wisely. Reinhardt1julian
I look in the help file before asking. But Either there's nothing matching in the indes on it does't say what i need (or i don't understand that that's what i need). A few of my Nvm are, because i asked in another forum, and they told me what the solution is. Or because of one of your hints. I just want to learn it But i can ann some of my code next time. BrewManNH
Wow, please no raging! I just want to get some help here! Isn't that what a Help Forum is all about? You got help for this exact same question a couple of days ago, and you're still not reading your help file. You're on your own from now on, you have demonstrated zero ability to work with the people helping you, and you keep asking the same stupid questions over and over again, I'm done. Moderators Melba23 Posted February 14, 2013 Moderators Share Posted February 14, 2013 Reinhardt1julian,So do I take that as you accepting my offer and that you will now read the Help file thoroughly and post some code that you have actually tried to run when asking questions in future? Reinhardt1julian
@BrewManNH I'm sorry, ok? Nobody is perfect. I just forgot about the other Thread. If you just woud'f said "In The other Thread you asked the same question" I would'f looked in my Content, and used the other Thread and asked this thread to get closed. @Uniersalist That would be a idea, too. @Melba23 Yes. Reinhardt1julian
I just want to know this one last thing for today - Does it matter what the third parameter of GUICtrlSetData is? It's not that clear neither in the helpfile nor in BrewMans post.
jdelaney
the helpfile answered your question:GUICtrlSetData ( controlID, data [, default] )GUICtrlSetData ( controlID, data [, default] ) default [optional] Combo, List: The default value. Edit, Input: If non-empty (""), the string is inserted at the current insertion point (caret).
