CountyIT Posted March 23, 2013 Posted March 23, 2013 (edited) I might be biting off a little mre then I want to but.... I am passing a function a string. All I want to do in that function is open a variable width GUI based on the length of the string it was passed. I want the width of the GUI to to be the width of the string I passed it so the GUI will open and the string I passed it will always be centered in the GUI. I am using Arial 14. Can the width of the GUI be calculated? Edited March 23, 2013 by CountyIT
Moderators Melba23 Posted March 23, 2013 Moderators Posted March 23, 2013 CountyIT,The StringSize UDF in my sig is exactly what you want - it returns the pixel size of any string in any font. If you have any questions about its use then please do ask - preferably in the UDF thread itself so others can benefit as well.
