Device Plugged Into Serial Port

Hi not sure if this can be done

Is there anyway autoit can check if a device is attached to com1 and report back a true or false statement.

you could try this command : >mode com1 /status > com1.txt

Then com1.txt will contain something like:

    Baud:            1200

    Parity:          None

    Data Bits:    7

    Stop Bits:    1

    Timeout:      OFF

    XON/XOFF:        OFF

    CTS handshaking: OFF

    DSR handshaking: OFF

    DSR sensitivity: OFF

    DTR circuit:  ON

    RTS circuit:  ON

Normally When CTS/DSR are ON, theres a device attached.

thanks anyway but there is not change in these line wether somthing is attached or not there are always ON
