cannondale Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 I have the code below that creates a temporary folder. However, I have noticed that the folder attribute is set to read-only, which prevents me from deleting it at the end of the script. What am I missing? DirCreate ("C:\_WL")
0xdefea7 Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 (edited) You can just change the attributes after the fact: DirCreate("C:\MyDir") FileSetAttrib("C:\MyDir", "-RASHNOT") ;Do Stuff Here DirRemove("C:\MyDir") On another note, you need admin to write to C: in Vista+ EDIT: I don't know why this is not working for you, but this works fine (Win 7 x64): #RequireAdmin DirCreate("C:\Test") MsgBox(0, "", FileGetAttrib("C:\Test")) DirRemove("C:\Test") The folder is read-only, but DirRemove has no issues removing it. BrewManNH Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 If it's a folder on the root of C: then it's not DirCreate, it's Windows 7, that's a protected area. 0xdefea7 1 If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
