Neutro Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Hey guys, I setup a user on a Windows 7 professional and I would like that this user settings is applied to all new user profiles. So I would like to copy the current user profile as the default user profile. I've looked on the forum but found nothing about this. I tried making a copy of the profile directory and renaming it to "default" but it doesn't work The only thing that works is to manually copy the profile to the default one using the software "windows enabler". Is there a way to do this automaticly using autoit? Thanks! Google "create default profile on WIN7" to get an idea of the work that goes into it. The very first hit should be microsoft's support site, which shows how to modify the xml. Neutro Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Thanks for your answer The xml file that you are referring to seems linked to create a default user profile with sysprep when you do computer image, but I'm trying to do that automaticly on a Windows 7 that is already installed. I already used sysprep and the xml file for the computer image but the company that is selling our computers mistaked in the image so I need to apply some changes when we receive it. Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted August 5, 2013 Moderators Posted August 5, 2013 The easiest way, then, should you be on an A.D. domain, is to follow the second section of that doc and create a profile out on the network, to be pulled down on initial login.
