rushtimes Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 I've got a bunch of programs that need automation, however autoit3 window spy can show only generic info. An alternative that seems viable from 1st thought is searching for images/color patterns that represent desirable UI elements. However from what I was able to find, such a function(image search) is not available; If its not available, I'm likely looking at this the wrong way, so Question is - in cases where reliable (multi-resulution, so no MouseClick()) window manipulation is not available (through window spy), what can be done to click on specific UI elements?
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted January 14, 2014 Moderators Posted January 14, 2014 How about giving some more detail as to the nature of the windows (even a screenshot if you are able), as well as what AutoIt's Window Info Tool is returning. rushtimes Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 Currently its a java application, screen at imgur.com/K5gbCoC Window spy control, visible, hidden text tabs are blank. As to my goal, be it a simple one - click on the users tab in the left corner of the application in a resolution/maximize-independent environment.
Moderators JLogan3o13 Posted January 14, 2014 Moderators Posted January 14, 2014 (edited) Understand that AutoIt works with the Windows API, so Java apps are highly resistant to automation. Are you able to give focus to the SunAWTFrame at all, to start? Edited January 14, 2014 by JLogan3o13 "Profanity is the last vestige of the feeble mind.
