How to get checkbox state of NON-USER-CREATED GUI?

I am trying to get the state of a checkbox on a pre-existing GUI. I have already tried GUICtrlRead(), but the return is 0, regardless of the checkbox state. Does anyone know a way to accomplish this? Please note that this is for a generic, pre-existing GUI that is NOT created through AutoIT.

Add the code you are using

Add the output of the 'control' tab, when targeting the checkbox throught the "autoit window info tool)

The actual funciton you would use is:

ControlCommand

"ischecked" option

That is if you are lucky enough to get some info about the box from the info tool..

if not your stuck with PixelSearch

Yeah, some checkboxes in listviews can't be seen by autoit.

If it's a standalone checkbox, you should be fine.
