Dev Posted March 21, 2004 Posted March 21, 2004 (Note: This is just an idea) I have thought about an AutoIt-channel for us geeks/noobs to talk in, if you are interessted, just post "Yes/No" here. (Omg... Ive created many topics in a short time now... Hope its not too many, if it is, Im sorry) :iamstupid:
Helge Posted March 21, 2004 Posted March 21, 2004 Well, I've already tried asking the people here at Hiddensoft Forums what they thought about making a IRC-channel, and I think it was only me and BoTr (think that's his correct nick) who was interested.. I don't have internet at home yet, but I'm still interested in getting a IRC-channel for the AutoIt-people... I might be able to create a IRC-channel in the summer though.. I'll see what I can do..
Dev Posted March 21, 2004 Author Posted March 21, 2004 (edited) Im able to create a channel, but I cant idle there 24/7 (my bed is like one meter from my computer - *WRRRRRRR, WRRRRRR*, and i cant sleep). We doesnt need to be very many to create the channel, it will grow. But we need the L-bot (I can ask friends helping me fix it). Will this channelname be good? #AutoIt ? EDIT:Damn! Forgot the smile ---> :iamstupid: Edited March 21, 2004 by Dev
Helge Posted March 21, 2004 Posted March 21, 2004 (edited) About the bot, I have some experience in another bot-program called WinBot...It's pretty easy to set it up (though you might wanna use some time on it)but if you need any help then you can just ask me... BTW, I can ask a friend of mine to have a channel up and going 24/7,but I doubt he will... I might be able create a channel in the summer, as I said earlier, but I can probably only be able to host it for about...3 days Edited March 21, 2004 by Helge
Guest XxBoBxX Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 if you want you can make a channel on irc.dcloneirc.com (my network) theres alot of people there that make autoit bots for many games and i think you could be great help to us. Services: Nickserv Chanserv Memoserv Operserv Hostserv opsb ( Open proxy scanning bot ) Statserv
Helge Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 Well, first of all I don't think it's smart to mix the "normal" AutoIt-scriptersand the gamebot-scripters in one channel...Didn't come out to good here at the Forums, so I think it would come outpretty ugly in a little IRC-channel..So my idea would be to create one channel for the normal AutoIt-scripters,which could be named #AutoIt, and another one for the gamebot-scripters,which could be named #AutoItGaming or something..About the servers, I would like it to be on one of the following :QuakeNetUnderNetEfNetOver !
Dev Posted March 22, 2004 Author Posted March 22, 2004 (edited) Allright, #AutoIt is now up @ Quakenet... (if i am not there im not online). CREATE a channel is no prob, but KEEP a channel is harder. We need 3 idlers for 2 hours to get the L bot.:iamstupid:EDIT:My IRCnick is Devion if you wanna send a msg Edited March 22, 2004 by Dev
Helge Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 Excellent ! Gonna try it later ! Are there any chance that the channel will be up and going 24/7 for a long period ?
Dev Posted March 22, 2004 Author Posted March 22, 2004 Yes, if we get the f*cking Lbot (4 ops for 2 hours needed) No prob! :iamstupid:
Helge Posted March 22, 2004 Posted March 22, 2004 I've joined the channel (#AutoIt @ QuakeNet), but it's kind of lonely here... *hint hint*
Insolence Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Sorry to dig up this thread* But I think it's a great idea. Although I don't like being left in the cold because I'm a gamer, I think I could prove myself as an equal to the other AutoIT guys "I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him." - Mark TwainPatient: "It hurts when I do $var_"Doctor: "Don't do $var_" - Lar.
pcdestroyer Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 It's a very good idea to haev an irc channel .... so ill go to quakenet and i'll idle 24/7 there
