ahha Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 (edited) Trying to get rid of wget and use inetget. Wget preserves the date/time of the file downloaded. Inetget writes the file with the current date/time. Is there a way to get inetget to preserve the downloaded file date/time OR is there some function where I can look at the file to be downloaded to get its date/time before it's downloaded? Reason needed - I prepend the file's original date/time.as part of the filename (so I don;t run into the OS creation/modified/date problem). Perhaps an alternative question is - can inetget preserve time-stamp information? If so, what's the switch to use/ Edited May 18, 2014 by ahha
