Just LOOK at the content of the posts in this thread and the order of them and anybody can see that I was politely asking of help, making a few mistakes and correcting them until YOU started getting very rude. I even reported your post at the time! I don't care about your experience. There is no excuse for your rudeness!

When I complain about your rudeness and unwillingness to actually help rather than criticise. I get called again!

The speed of my script is largely a function of the rather enormous amount of number crunching that is going on! Plus the "waits" I have put in to allow the program to do its several stages without complaining with a "bleep". Then there is my AV and Anti Trojan Setup! I am currently experimenting with reducing the "waits" until I get it running as fast as may be.

Yes you said that GuiSwitch was wrong. But you refused to explain how to implement your ideas! Look back at you post to see! Now that I have successfully used OTHER peoples ideas in this thread to solve my problem you have to claim that "your way would have been better".

Since you have NEVER PROPERLY EXPLAINED HOW YOUR IDEA COULD BE IMPLEMENTED I think that that is really really RICH!

I would not have needed to "EXPLAINED HOW YOUR IDEA COULD BE IMPLEMENTED" if you had followed the recommendation I gave in the very first post and installed the beta. Doing that alone and reading the information I gave would have given you enough of an idea of how to do what you requested.

Can you tell me which of the posts I made that you considered rude? #2? #3? Certainly I was admittedly rude in #4, because I saw from your comment that you had not taken my recommendation. Which was the first post you considered rude?

If you do not have the beta version of autoit, then there is no need to explain "HOW YOUR IDEA COULD BE IMPLEMENTED" because it won't work without having the beta. That's like trying to explain the color blue to a person who is blind.

In just three hours I have just done 21 runs of the script. Previously I could only do a maximum of two of these analysis a day (to avoid RSI!)

Hi Jo M-

Keep in mind that you have admitedly just saved yourself (and your company?) 9 man days of work. At a modest $40/hour, that's almost $3000! All with just a few hours of your time and a LOT of free help from AutoIT members. (I hope your PayPal account allows donations of over $100).

To receive this valuable, timely, and free help you have had to take some heat from the most experienced of the forum gurus. This is a very small price to pay for the prospect of many more informed, elegant, valuable, and timely solutions to your "brick walls".

You did remain polite and thankful, but just remember where you would be without AutoIT. For me, it has saved 100's of man-hours, as well as eliminated a corresponding amount of tedious drudgery in having to do things "manually".

In your spare time, go to the forum members section and list the members in descending order of "number of posts". Then write down the names of those with more than 1000 posts and be exceedingly tolerant of anything they request when replying to your questions. It will pay off in the long run. (I'm just 900 posts away from being one of them --- of course they'll be at 5,000 by then --- Catch 22?)

P.S. Your problem sounds quite interesting. Would you be able to post the code in "Scripts and Scraps"?

jefhal :P;)
