litecold Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) Hello, I'm using fileopendialog, I only want it to be able to select, 3 file formats, yet I'm able to also select shortcuts, I think that's a bug? Code:FileOpenDialog("Select subtitles", @ScriptDir, "All (*.srt;*.sub;*.zip)")Picture: Edited October 8, 2014 by Melba23 Title edited
Luigi Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) Try something like this... Local $sFileOpenDialog = FileOpenDialog($sMessage, @WindowsDir & "\", "Images (*.jpg;*.bmp)|Videos (*.avi;*.mpg)", $FD_FILEMUSTEXIST + $FD_MULTISELECT) Or type FileOpenDialog, save your script with any name and press F1, is the first example in the help file. litecold Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 I tried your example, but I can still choose shortcuts
litecold Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 I suppose this is a bug, no fix for it?
Moderators Melba23 Posted October 8, 2014 Moderators Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) litecold,When I run that code I do not see any shortcuts - I only see the folders and those files with matching extensions. This is true for both 3.3.12.0 and 3.3.13.19 - and as this is a direct call to the Windows API I do not believe it is an AutoIt bug. What version and OS are you running? M23P.S. I have edited your thread title - it is a bug when others agree, not just because it does not work for you. litecold Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 I tested it on my work machine, witch is running Windows 7 x64, and I tested it as well on my private machine, witch is running Windows 8 x64, the problem occurs on both machines, I can choose shortcuts on both of them
BrewManNH Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I can verify that this is happening on my computer, it's showing Internet shortcuts, not normal shortcuts. It doesn't matter what extensions you put in, it always seems to display internet shortcuts. Moderators Melba23 Posted October 8, 2014 Moderators Posted October 8, 2014 BrewManNH,Good spot - same for me when I test. But I still maintain that this is a Windows, not AutoIt, problem. BrewManNH Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I'd agree that it looks to be a Windows issue, I see the same issue in SciTE and Notepad as well, so it's definitely not an AutoIt only issue. litecold Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Could be, but it's very unlikely that Microsoft is going to fix it, in the case it's something to do with Windows .
Moderators Melba23 Posted October 8, 2014 Moderators Posted October 8, 2014 litecold, it's very unlikely that Microsoft is going to fix itAgreed - but as the AutoIt function does nothing more than call the Windows API neither are we. Of interest, my ChooseFileFolder UDF does not show internet shortcuts - the link is in my sig. iamtheky Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Agreed - but as the AutoIt function does nothing more than call the Windows API neither are we Yeah, cant you see they are far too busy editing the titles of threads to put a one-liner in the helpfile explaining this finding (because god forbid somebody give their perspective of an issue and call it a bug). ,-. .--. ________ .-. .-. ,---. ,-. .-. .-. .-. |(| / /\ \ |\ /| |__ __||| | | || .-' | |/ / \ \_/ )/ (_) / /__\ \ |(\ / | )| | | `-' | | `-. | | / __ \ (_) | | | __ | (_)\/ | (_) | | .-. | | .-' | | \ |__| ) ( | | | | |)| | \ / | | | | | |)| | `--. | |) \ | | `-' |_| (_) | |\/| | `-' /( (_)/( __.' |((_)-' /(_| '-' '-' (__) (__) (_) (__)
