Helveticus Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Hi I have a very small problem which I want to solve with the help of AutoIt. I hope that somebody can help. I want to start the following application C:Program Files (x86)IntelExtreme Tuning UtilityClientXtuUiLauncher.exe The application should be started after each reboot of the system. I can do this by calling an AutoIt script in the task scheduler. The AutoIt script should simply start the above application into the tray (i.e. minimized). Further, if starting the application the UAC jumps in asking for admin rights. I don't want this, the AutoIt scripts should just start the application without this prompt. How can I do this two things with AutoIt?
BrewManNH Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 You could try using the task scheduler to run it on log in using the System credentials, not sure if that would work with it or not, but can't hurt to try. That way you don't need a script to start it. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. JayHawkfl Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Disclaimer, it's been a year since I fixed this for on of my programs This is windows security stuff, I had the same issue with a few of my programs, you need to run the program from an admin account or just be signing in as as admin to make it work. I think that's how I fixed it, like I said it's been a while Thanks for your time

How can I minimize it automatically into the tray upon startup? I only see the solution with AutoIt. Of course, there is e.g. 4t tray minimizer but for automatically minimizing into tray upon startup it is not free.
