Broddo
Hi there,I'm relatively new to autoIT but certainly not to programming. I'm writing a script to automate the setting up and launching of tasks in a 3rd party program. Unfortunately, AutoIT doesn't seem to be able to interact with most of the controls in this program despite it looking very similar to a standard win32 program. E.g. I can select menu items (like File, Edit, etc) but nothing in the submenus (copy, paste, etc) without resorting to using Send(). I can't select radio controls either. This hasn't been much of an issue until now - now I need to access a listview but nothing I've tried is working. E.g.$chnd = ControlGetHandle("Main Window", "", "[CLASS:ClaList_02010000H; INSTANCE:2]") $test = _GUICtrlListView_GetItemCount($chnd)$test is always 0 even though the list view has several items in it. Do you think I'm fresh out of luck here? Are there just some programs that AutoIT doesn't work with or am I doing something obviously wrong? Cheers! BrewManNH
You could try this UDF If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
