jforr
I have a third-party application that has several buttons, each button in turn creates a flyout menu with more buttons on it. As soon as the application loses focus, the flyout menu collapses and I'm unable to use the window info tool to get the control ID of the button I need. Any tips on how I can get this to work? BrewManNH
Hit CTRL-ALT-F when the info tool window is open then click into your program, this "unfreezes" the info tool so that you can deal with issues like this. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. jforr
Thanks, That almost got me there. Now the problem is that window info tool isn't seeing anything on the flyout menu at all. See the attached image and how all the controls are empty. I do have a few values on the window.
