c0rnf3d Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Hey guys, Im new to coding in auto it. what i need to do is do a print screen and save the file as jpg/gif/etc while the program is running. i need the current window to be to stay active and the saving of the jpg to be done silently. i know how to capture the screen, etc. but i dont understand how to save it to a file without opening up something and pasteing it... i know i cant use the filewrite stuff. any ideas....? thanks
MHz Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 You could automate paint but results are not reliable. The best I have seen is a plugin from LazyCat. It does require the latest beta of AutoIt here but it works well for me. A link is here and it has a example with it.

BigDaddyO Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Wow,I am still using LazyCat's old DLL file to do my screen captures in AutoIT.DLL ThreadLazyCat, did you port over this DLL into the plug in or is the Plug-in completely new?Mike.
