adalric1234 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 (edited) Hello everybody, I have a problem with autoIt, when I add an "end of file" with filewrite() to a script.au3, I am able to read it with a msgbox, but when the file is compiled (.exe), and I add a sentence in the EOF, how can I read it ? I keep gettings messages like (☐☐☐☐) when trying to read EOF. That would be very helpful to me. Thanks. Edited October 9, 2015 by adalric1234
BrewManNH Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Show us the code you're using to do this "add an end of file". Not sure what it is you think you're adding to the file, but I'm not sure that most files these days even have an EOF character in them, that's ancient Unix/DOS stuff. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. adalric1234 Posted October 9, 2015 Author Posted October 9, 2015 That's the only way to save information, from the "builder" to the 'stub", so in the builder I am using : $stub = "stub.exe"FileOpen($stub)$readstub = FileRead($stub)FileWrite($readstub, "here the string to add in the EOF")
