Ron Frye Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 I would like to change the screen resolution from 800x600 to 1024x768 before running a Windows program, then change it back once that program stops running. Is AutoIt capable of doing this?
w0uter Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 (edited) why would you want to force someone to run in 1024*768 ? PartyPooper Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 One reason I can think of is that there are some kids games out there that won't run if the desktop screen is not set at a particular resolution regardless of whether or not you are running at a higher res. Maybe he wants to create a quick launcher for a program like that. Another reason I can think of is for graphing. He may have a graph that is best seen at a minimum of 1024 * 768. Also some websites recommend a minimum res of 1024 * 768 so he may want to temporarily change res for that purpose. I guess the list of reasons is huge but they are the common ones I can think of off the top of my head at this time.
