Calendar look

Hi,

I'm looking to get a small (300 X 300) look alike calendar, that will be similar to the one found here:

functional for highlighting 2 or more numbers and finally getting the return of the selected.
 in the return I'm looking only for the simple numbers from 1 to 30 not a full true date format

In hopes that someone can share\provide ideas or some code that will get me  closer to accomplish this.
