the configuration in the example window you present can be set programatically in the registry, no need to manipulate the window. if this is only an example, then please provide one that better fits your real scenario.

Signature - my forum contributions:

Spoiler

UDF:

LFN - support for long file names (over 260 characters)

InputImpose - impose valid characters in an input control

TimeConvert - convert UTC to/from local time and/or reformat the string representation

AMF - accept multiple files from Windows Explorer context menu

DateDuration -  literal description of the difference between given dates

Apps:

Touch - set the "modified" timestamp of a file to current time

Show For Files - tray menu to show/hide files extensions, hidden & system files, and selection checkboxes

SPDiff - Single-Pane Text Diff

Thank You @orbs for your answer.

1.

my problem is generally with this kind of windows

I read somewhere that support for this is on NOT TO DO LIST on devs table

this will mean , after me , the death of autoit in several years.

I use autoit from 2004. but c'est la vie ...

my goal is to manipulate this windows , the picture above was just a simple sample

2.

about my picture above

if you @orbs know a way to manipulate registry for register an extension for a program

I would glad to know how you do it , if you want to share us

normally in windows 10 if I do that , in the next second , windows will reset my registry setting

just informing me , not asking for permission

Thank You again @orbs
