Variables in #include files

Hi I writing a script, for organization, I want all ancillary variables in a different *.au3 file and all the main functions in a different file. the ancillary.au3 in added to the main using #include command. There are some global variables that the functions share. How do global variable work across different file. Can I access those variable in the main.au3 if they have been declared in the ancillary.au3 as global? Or do the variable do not jump across files? Thanks.

Global variables are ... global. There is no scope boundary wrt specific include file. And for a reason: before building the final .EXE, the AutoIt tool merges all include files into a single source in order of appearance.

All you have to check is that variables always get declared before being used. Your main.au3 would typically include all necessary standard UDFs, then your file(s) with global variables, then your code UDFs and finally your main code. Remember to use "#include-once" in your own .au3 files (main.au3 doesn't need that).
