File Transfering?

Has anybody got FileTransfering over non-localhost server/client working yet? I tried Larry's old example with no success over a real connection.

EDIT:Also, while I am at it, my complete control program only uses the port 1234. Yet, even when people forward that port it won't allow them to use it, but when people forward all the uncommon ports(ports not uses by router) then it works fine =/.

You need to forward it for TCP defined services or UDP depending on what you want to do and I am not sure of any known TCP file sending method.

for transferring files from 1 pc to another you need to send it binary, but i don't know how

does some1 know a way to convert files to binary or hex (even with NUL-chars)?
