1. how can i launch a file (say a microsoft word file) using auto it?

yeh i have tried that, but cannot configure it correctly.

can you post a longer example of that. with the directory present...?

2. how can i collect data from a form, say, and send that data (or a variable) to an email address? This must be done in the backgroud (not obvious).

the answers are on the forum many times. for working with word, you may want to search for Word and COM, for sending mail, you could probably just search for mail...
