Actually, I know they've already begun evaluating fingerprint readers and other ideas. For about 6 months we had a retina scanner at the security desk, but that's gone now. I've heard our next round of laptops will be IBM's with the fingerprint readers in them and I think they'll probably go to our auditors (that go to client locations to audit them). Otherwise, I would have suggested it months ago.

We are testing them also, but from what I understand, when they get dirty, they mess up. Make-up, hand cream....you get the idea

I have seen verry old laptops with fingerprintreaders so I donot thinks IBM is adding this for the first time.

also keep browsing the fingerprint readers are really cheap only 19 euro here.
