running a macro when lid is closed

i am working on a macro but dont want the lid on my pc always open but when i closes the lid it just freezes not knowing what to do because alot has to do with pixel color and i cant make it

also...

is there any way for the scrip to run for a set amout of time say 6 hours?

ps in the settings i have it set for "do nothing" when lid is closed

Yes this is possible.

As to the rest of the post: Don't really see the link to AutoIt3.

What are you trying to automate anyways that needs running for 6 hours in the background with you seeing it and requiring you to close the lid?

its a bot for runescape and i guess the lid being closed doesnt but but what command would i use to get the script to run for 6 hours?
