how to split a string?

if for example i have one text like;

"in new york, city is the place most valorated, for the english citizens."

I can split this string by delimiter -> ","

and save them in different vars like:

var 1 =  "in new york"

var 2 = city is the place most valorated

it's possible to do this? sorry i'm little newbie with autoit.
