Hi,

I have an application which calls cmd and waits for users to press any button to continue.

I tried looking around but most of the answers I found is to create a cmd from scratch.

I would appreciate if anyone can guide me on how to take an action on a cmd pop up from an application.

So I have tried to run an exe which brings up the command line and the waits on a prompt " press any to continue"

I am new to AutoIT and what I have tried so far is using Find Tool if I could get the Visible text then I could pass the send function but it is not seeing any visible text.

I hoping someone has another way of doing this.

Hi Jos,

Thank you for replying but I don't have any script made because I cannot get any information from the cmd prompt when using au3info

I need just a hint on how I can achieve this and I will start working on it.

I still learning with auotIT to do stuff.

Thank You

Fine, so as stated in my first post: Supply all details and specifics on what you do exactly and avoid this 'an application" but be exact else we're stabbing in the dark.

I have a cleanup utility it is an exe file.

When I run the exe file it will bring up command prompt showing 'press any key to continue'

What I want to do is run the exe which I know how to do with AutoIT, but I don't know how to make AuotIT click any key inside the command prompt screen to continue.

Hope this is clear enough.

You seriously don't get it ...do you?
You haven't given any information yet and yet expect help.

I am done and leave it to other to start with the guessing game ...
