FileGetVersion($CheckPath, "FileVersion") sometimes get nothing.

I use FileGetVersion to check if the .dll , .exe files that its version is correct.

But sometimes that was return nothing( like 0.0.0.0 ), and I firmly sure the file have their own file version and product version.

have anyone meet the same problem?

And I also try the _GetExtProperty($Path,  $number), but I don't know the correct $number for the file version on win10.

I try the 32,  252 ... but still get nothing...

What folder are these files located in? If they're in System32, that will only work if running as a 64bit OS, you need to look in SysWOW64 as an example.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.

Thank for your reply! I finally find the reason just as your reply.
