When user tries to delete a specific type of file then deny this ?

Hello,

as title, i am searching for a solution to prevent users (not admins) from deleting specific type of files like a video .mp4 for example.

I know i can use roles for users to prevent this kind of activity but how about a certain type of file?

Users should be able to move files but i want to prevent them from deleting stuff accidently.

Any idea?

If you set file level permissions, that the only way I can think of doing it.  It would require breaking inheritable permission on the files from its folder.
