EddieR Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 I have used Window Info numerous times to get Window title, control info, etc. I have a new version of an application we previously used AutoIT to upgrade that I am unable to use Windows Info to get the info I need to automate things. As soon as you click off the app that I need to inspect the window disappears. There is no option in the application to "keep on top". So i can have Windows Info open and as soon as I click on Finder Tool the application I need to inspect goes away. Now, this is not specific to Windows Info... if I click anywhere such as the desktop, the application window goes away so clearly the authors thought this was cute to do... Am I overlooking any other options to use to get the info that Windows Info has been able to provide to me in the past?
jdelaney Posted May 28, 2019 Posted May 28, 2019 Ctrl + alt + f allows you to mouse over the window without activating/click it with the spy tool...when you have it 'locked', send ctrl + alt + f again. IEbyXPATH-Grab IE DOM objects by XPATH IEscriptRecord-Makings of an IE script recorder ExcelFromXML-Create Excel docs without excel installed GetAllWindowControls-Output all control data on a given window.
