ztg Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Okay so I'm new to AutoIt, I download it and followed the HelloWorld tutorial, naturally hated the SciTe editor for not having dark theme and moved to Visual Studio Code, installed Damien's AutoIt extension for it, here's my current code: I can run it fine by going to my desktop and double clicking the au3 file but when I try to run it on VSC with the Run command it outputs this I've googled it up but I found nothing helpful, what do I do to fix this issue please? It would mean a lot to me.
ztg Posted June 1, 2019 Author Posted June 1, 2019 Oh my god the thread looks terrible i have no idea why its like this it looked fine on the submission form, sorry about that guys, hopefully you can still read it though.
BrewManNH Posted June 1, 2019 Posted June 1, 2019 Use the full path and file name, obviously AutoIt's folder isn't in the Path on the computer. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. franktic Posted June 3, 2019 Posted June 3, 2019 Hi ZTG, You need to configure the extension. I use 4ern in Visual code and when clicking the square extension box I see: The cogged wheel will take you to the configuration menu. From there you get to change paths for Autoit3.exe, the help path, the info path, and all the other tools you need.
