codingnewb Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Hello, I'm new to autoIT, and just had a quick question or two regarding it's compatibility with native windows and Batch. Since its native to windows, can I just run an AutoIT command from CMD, and if not, is there any way to convert an autoIT exe to batch code, if I need to run it through CMD? These may be stupid questions, but like I said, I'm new to pretty much all coding except for Batch, and I couldn't find any info on these questions.
Subz Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Please post your code, there is no reason for code to not run in CMD although unsure why it needs to be cmd?
BrewManNH Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Instead of using a batch file, you can always run everything through AutoIt. But, if you really need the batch file, it can be done with a Run command in AutoIt and using @comspec in the Run's parameter, examples are in the help file. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
