BrewManNH Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Where is it compiling to? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Sidley Posted September 9, 2019 Author Posted September 9, 2019 (edited) C:\Users\lccres2\AppData\Local\AutoIt v3\Aut2exe\~SomeTempFile.exe It seems to compile here but not copy over to the specified directory. Edited September 9, 2019 by Sidley
rudi Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Propably the Destination EXE file is locked, usually because the EXE is running from "this Workstation" or any other Workstation on your Network. Usually the SCITE Output pane should present a error message telling so. You could use process monitor to figure out, if the Destination EXE file was failing to be written to. regards, Rudi. Danp2 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Are you running any AV software? It's possible that it's interfering with the compile/copy process Latest Webdriver UDF Release Webdriver Wiki FAQs
Sidley Posted September 10, 2019 Author Posted September 10, 2019 Thanks for the replies folks, I don't think there's any external AV installed locally on the laptop. No error messages in the output pane, it seems to think everything went fine. SCITE is installed locally, I've tried running it as an administrator with no luck. I have had trouble before editing SCITE user preferences, I had to edit the global options and manually copy them to the user preferences file, so it could definitely be permissions related. I tried running Process Monitor but it doesn't look like it's even attempting to write to the correct directory.
rudi Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Use Sysninternals' "Process Monitor" to see, what's going wrong. Earth is flat, pigs can fly, and Nuclear Power is SAFE!
