ozymandius257 Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 I have made a vb.net application and this references AutoitX3.Assembly I include AutoitX3.dll, AutoitX3_x64.dll, and AutoitX3.Assembly.dll in the same folder as the executable. It's a very simply program that just does a MouseClick - I was using it to check I could get it to work... On 32-bit Windows 7, it works ok, but on 64-bit Windows 10, I get the following displayed when I run the .exe... Anyone know how to resolve this? Back up my hard drive? - I can't even find reverse gear.
ozymandius257 Posted September 10, 2019 Author Posted September 10, 2019 Please ignore me - this was caused because instead of copying over the executable, Test.exe, I copied over the file Test.exe.config Then of course, file explorer was hiding the file extensions, so my befuddled brain just saw Test.exe and tried to run that - and VS shell tried to open to display the xml in the .config file, but couldn't. Back up my hard drive? - I can't even find reverse gear.
