Hi all,

I just got a new laptop with a dual screen built in.  Love the hardware, hate the Asus software, and abhor the MS dual screen drivers (displayport).  But I digress...

I work with a lot of Excel windows open at the same time, and I found I stopped using the touchscreen because it moves my mouse cursor, which means I immediately have to move the mouse cursor back from screen to screen.  This happens 3 to 5 times a minute.  Ideally, I can tap anything on my second screen, and my mouse cursor stays put.   That would be paradise.

MS says that is by design, there is no commercial software that can do this, and I have been unable to create a script in Autohotkey to do this.  I'm old now, so before I try to learn AutoIt, I was just wondering if anyone thought it is feasible to write an AutoIt script to:

1. Not move the mouse cursor on touch screen event, OR

2. Can reliably detect touchscreen events, such that you could save the previous mouse position, and AFTER touchscreen event, move it back to where it was.  I would have to test this, but technically it was also have to click that previous mouse position to gain focus back (which may cause other problems, or winactivate at the mouse position). OR,

3.  Your own brilliant solution

Thoughts?
