Give&Take "sizeable" attribute to/from a window

I have a window and your able to open "notes", the only problem is the window is very small and the notes area is limited. I do not want it to scroll, but do not want it to be to small either. ALL of the different menus this little tool can do are supposed to work in each other, I have several functions to hide different options except for whats supposed to show at one time.

Now I want it so when you open the "notes" option the window gains the resize ability, then loses it when you change menu (I can handle menu swapping). But is it even possible to give a window an attribute while its shown?

did u make the thing that opens notes or what? or is it just sum random prog?
