rudi Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 (edited) Hi, A tool I use quite frequently to do documentation is PSR.EXE (Problem Step Recorder), included with windows at least starting with Windows 7. Unfortunately PSR will record *ALL* monitors active. The only approach I'm aware of to limit PSR to one single screen is either to switch to one-screen-active (really dumb), or to RDP connect to some VM, that has one screen with a screen resolution that's appropriate for the documentation to be done. What would be the fastest approach to switch from "4-monitor-setting" to single monitor active start PSR.EXE recording (possible with command line options) switch back to 4-monitor-setting with exactly the same arrangment settings as before? (numbering, orientation, resolution) <edit> I just recognized, that this doesn't work: PSR.EXE unfortunately is aware of screen settings changes. It always records all currently active monitors. A Two-Monitor-Example is attached. </edit> Maybe someone is aware of a customized PSR.EXE version capable to record just one monitor, or, even better, some adjustable region? psr-example.zip Edited June 8, 2020 by rudi Earth is flat, pigs can fly, and Nuclear Power is SAFE!
